This article will show you how to use the self-service accreditation process to upload a third-party accreditation letter.

STEP 1: In the investor portal, navigate to the Settings > Accreditation section.

You will see all your investing Accounts.

In the example below, we see an Individual investing account with an Unknown accreditation status.

STEP 2: Click the Get Accredited button to start the accreditation process for this Individual investing Account.

IMPORTANT: If you do not see the investing Account you are trying to get accredited, please contact your Sponsor who will be able to create and link a new Account to your Contact in the portal.

Investors cannot create new investing Accounts outside of the capital raise commitment flow process.

STEP 3: Upload the documentation to verify your accreditation status for that investing Account.

Examples of acceptable accreditation letters - Obtain a written confirmation from one of the following persons or entities that such person or entity has taken reasonable steps to verify that the purchaser is an accredited investor within the prior three months and has determined that such purchaser is an accredited investor:

  • A registered broker-dealer

  • An investment adviser registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission

  • A licensed attorney who is in good standing under the laws of the jurisdictions in which he or she is admitted to practice law; or

  • A certified public accountant who is duly registered and in good standing under the laws of the place of his or her residence or principal office;

Once the letter has been submitted, a notification will display at the top of the screen to let you know that the upload was successful.

The status of the accreditation letter will change from Unknown to Pending until the Sponsor has accepted/rejected the uploaded accreditation letter.

Once approved, the status will change to reflect the new status.

If you need to start the process over, click the Restart button.
