How to Set Up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

When you create your portal account, you may be asked to set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA). Here is how to do so.

When you create your portal account, you may be asked to set up 2FA. There are two different methods offered:

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Option 1. Authenticator App

Step 1. Choose Authenticator App as your 2FA method by clicking Enable.

Step 2. Download our recommended Authenticator App for your phone, Google Authenticator (available for Android or Apple). If you already have Google Authenticator, skip to Step 4.

Step 3. Follow the in-app setup instructions.

Step 4. Inside the App, click on the "+" icon in the bottom righthand corner. Choose "Scan a QR code" and scan the QR code presented to you within InvestNext.

Step 5. Enter the 6-digit code that is generated inside your Authenticator App and click Verify Code. Note: the code refreshes every 30 seconds.

Step 6. If you've entered the correct code, you will be notified that 2FA has been enabled.


Option 2. Text Message

Step 1. Choose Text Message as your 2FA method by clicking Enable.

Step 2. Enter your Phone Number, including the area code, and click Continue.

Step 3. Enter the 6-digit code that was texted to you and click Continue.

Step 4. If you've entered the correct code, you will be notified that 2FA has been enabled.
