TEAMs Set-Up

This article will guide you in setting up TEAMs for your portal and how to assign a USER to a TEAM.

TEAMS is a great way to allow role-based access to specific functionality in your InvestNext portal. For example, an organization may have individuals who need to access a subset of Contacts and the Projects, as well as the Positions that the Contacts have in the Project(s).

Parts 1-3 below will walk you through how to create your TEAM, Assign a USER to your TEAM, and how to assign a TEAM to a Capital Raise!

Note: You must either be an admin user or have the "User Administrator" permission in order to manage teams.


Part 1: Create your TEAM

Step 1. Navigate to your Global Settings (cogwheel icon). Click on 'TEAMs' in the left side panel, then click on 'New Team'.

Step 2. Type in your TEAM name and click on 'Create New Team'.

Step 3. Assign a USER to your TEAM by clicking on 'Add team member'.

Step 4. A pop-up window will appear with USERs you can choose from. Once you've selected a USER, you can click on 'Add'.

NOTE: You can add multiple USERs to a TEAM.


Part 2: Assign a Contact(s) to your TEAM

Step 1. Navigate to 'Contacts'.

Step 2. Select the Contact you would like to assign to a TEAM.

Step 3. Click on 'Edit' next to TEAMs.

Step 4. Select the TEAM(s) you would like to assign to the contact.

NOTE: You can assign multiple TEAMs to a Contact.

Step 5. Click on 'Save TEAMs'.

The contact has now been added to the TEAM!

Part 3: Assign a Capital Raise to your TEAM

Step 1. Navigate to 'Fundraising'.

Step 2. Click on the 'Capital Raises' tab.

Step 3. Click on the Capital Raise you'd like to assign a TEAM to.

Step 4. Click on 'Edit' next to TEAMs.

Step 5. Select the TEAM(s) you would like to assign to the Capital Raise.

NOTE: You can assign multiple TEAMs to a Capital Raise.

Step 6. Click on 'Save TEAMs'.

The TEAM has now been added to the Capital Raise!
