Adding a Class to a Capital Raise

This article will show you how to add a Debt or Equity Class to your Capital Raise.

Classes allow investors' commitments to be automatically recorded on the Project's cap table once the investment is funded.

If you have created your Capital Raise and now need to add another Class to the Capital Raise β€” either a Debt or Equity class β€” you can use the steps in this article to set the Class up.


Step-by-Step Instructions:

STEP 1: Navigate to 'Fundraising' in the Main Menu of the Portal. Then click on the 'Capital Raises' tab.

STEP 2: Select the Capital Raise. Then click the 'Details' button:

STEP 3: Click on the 'Debt & Equity Classes' tab. If have already added Classes to this Capital Raise, the Classes will display here:

STEP 4: To add a new Class, click on the '+ NEW' button on the right side of the screen. Then click 'Add Class' or 'Add Hybrid Class'.

STEP 5: After clicking 'Add Class', select 'Create New Class...':

STEP 6: Click on the 'Class Type' drop-down menu and choose from either 'Equity' or 'Debt':

STEP 7: Fill out the remaining fields/steps:

  • New Class Name

  • Unit Price

  • Click 'Add' to add this new Class to your Capital Raise

STEP 8: You will now see the new Class under the 'Debt & Equity Classes' tab!

TIP: Add the following items to fully set up your new Class:

  • Investment Increment Amount (if any)

  • Minimum Investment Amount (if any)

  • Maximum Investment Amount (if any)

STEP 9: Click the 'Save Changes' button when complete!
