Occasionally, you may need to mark an investment as withdrawn when the investor backs out of the opportunity after they have fully funded it.

When that happens, you can use the "Withdraw" function in the Commitment! This will change the Commitment to $0 and automatically transfer the Units to the Treasury so they can be used by another investor.

DISCLAIMER 1: "Withdrawing" a Commitment is NOT the same as "Canceling" a Commitment!

  • Withdrawing a Commitment will maintain the record of the Commitment in the Capital Raise and the Position in the Project:

    • The Commitment will be marked as "Lost" with a $0 Commitment Amount.

    • The Position will have a $0 Capital Balance and a negative Units balance

  • If you would prefer to Cancel the Commitment (or the Commitment is only partially funded), please use the links at the bottom of this article to show you how to Cancel the Commitment.

DISCLAIMER 2: A Commitment can't be Cancelled once it's been Withdrawn. If you accidentally Withdraw a Commitment that you meant to Cancel instead, please reach out to InvestNext's Support Team for assistance!

Step-by-Step Instructions:

STEP 1. Navigate to 'Fundraising' in the Portals Main Menu.

STEP 4. Confirm by typing "withdraw" as directed and clicking the 'Withdraw Investment' button. This will successfully withdraw the commitment.

IMPORTANT: Withdrawal is a permanent action.

STEP 5/End Result:

The Position: Will have a $0 Capital Balance and the Units will show as transferred to the Treasury with a negative balance:
