When creating a Zap in Zapier we can select a trigger event called "Initial funding for opportunity". We can use this trigger to automate an email campaign when a commitment goes from “funding” to “transfer pending”.

  • This trigger will only react to the first funding event of an opportunity. In the event that there’s several transfers, it won’t update or change on those, so that should be taken into consideration.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Start by creating a new Zap in Zapier.

Step 2: Click the 1st trigger, search for the InvestNext App, and select it.

Step 3: From the left hand side options, select the trigger event "Initial Funding of Opportunity".

Step 4: If not already logged on, log into your InvestNext account to give Zapier permission to access the required data for the Zap and select continue.

Step 5: Click Find New records, select the record found and click Continue

Step 6: You can now add any Step from the hundreds of Apps that Zapier allows you connect. For this example we will use Gmail to send a custom thank you email by selecting the app Gmail and action event "Send Email".

Step 7: Configure email settings within the Zap to edit and customize the the email that will be sent. Send Test email and Publish to make the Zap go live.

Step 8: Once published you receive a message that says the zap was published and you are all set!
