How to Create a New Capital Raise or Fundraise (VIDEO)

In InvestNext, creating a Capital Raise is a simple process!

TIP: A Capital Raise must always be connected to a Project. When creating a new Capital Raise, you'll have the ability to choose/set up the Project as well!

  • You can choose an existing Project to link the new Capital Raise to.

OR

  • You can choose to create a new Project to link the new Captial Raise to.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

STEP 1. Navigate to 'Capital Raises' in the Main Menu. Then click on '+ New Capital Raise':

STEP 2. Decide whether you need to create a new Project for this Capital Raise OR if you'll be using a current/existing Project for this Capital Raise:

The Steps below will demonstrate an example of selecting "Yes" to create a new Project.

STEP 3. Enter the 'Project Name' and 'Project Type'. Optionally, enter the 'Legal Name' of the Project:

STEP 4. Enter the physical address of this Project:

TIP: Be sure to enter the "State" using the capitalized 2-letter abbreviation format. For example: CA, TX, NY, etc.

STEP 5. Select the 'Asset Class(es)', 'Relevant Regulation(s)', and the 'Structure':

STEP 6. Select the 'Currency' and the 'Unit Calculation Presicison'. Click 'Next' when done:

STEP 7. Enter the 'Target Amount' and 'Target Closing Date':

STEP 8. Select what type of Capital Raise this is. You can choose "Immediately" (most common) or "Progressively with Capital Calls".

STEP 9. Add your Unit/Share Classes. Click on '+ NEW'. Then select whether you're adding a Single Class or a Hybrid Class:

STEP 10: A pop-up window will appear. Choose the type of Class (For example, an Equity Class named "Class A" is there by default. You can select this or select "Create a new Class"):

"Class A" OPTION:

  • If you select the default Equity "Class A", you'll be prompted to enter the Unit/Share Price:

"Create a new Class" OPTION:

  • If you select "Create a new Class", you'll be prompted to select the 'Class Type' (Equity or Debt), enter the 'New Class Name', and the 'Unit Price' or 'Interest Rate'. The Example below is of the "Debt" Class:

STEP 11. Select the Pipeline. You can choose the "Default Pipeline" our system provides (most common), or you can use a custom Pipeline you've created.

STEP 11. Review the details of your Capital Raise and click 'Create Captial Raise' to complete the creation or 'Back' to make an edit:
