The Tax Center

The Tax Center is available on all investor portals.

The Tax Center acts as a central hub that seamlessly gathers and organizes tax documents from all the sponsor portals that the investor is connected to via Single Sign On (SSO).

This Tax Center will have the investor's 1099s or k-1s available for download from the Dashboard of the portal!

Q. How will the investors know about the Tax Center?

A. When the investor logs in the first time after the Tax Center is released, this banner will display:

NOTE: This banner will only display the first time the investor logs in after the feature is released!

  • If the investor clicks the Done button, they will be taken to the Dashboard of their portal.

  • If the investor clicks the Go To Tax Center button, they are taken to the Tax Center

Q. How do investors get to the Tax Center after the first time?

A. When Investors log into their portal, they will have two ways to access the Tax Center:

  • Option 1: Click on the Tax Center menu item at the top of the screen

  • Option 2: Click on their Profile in the top right screen

Either option will take them to the Tax Center:

To return to the Dashboard, the investor can click the "Return To Investor Portal" button:

Q. What do sponsors need to do to use the Tax Center?

A. Sponsors will continue to do exactly what they have done in the past — no extra work on your end!

Sponsors will continue to upload the tax documents the same way they were before - using the steps in this article on Mass Uploading K-1s/Tax Documents: Mass Upload K1s/Tax Documents.

The system will add the documents to the Document tab in the portal, as well as, now add the 1099 and/or K-1s to the Tax Center tab!

Q. Do investors have to have set up Single Sign On (SSO) to use the Tax Center?

A. Investors using Single Sign On (SSO) will be able to log into one of their portals connected via SSO and click on the Tax Center tab to download all their Tax Documents (1099s and/or K-1s) across all linked portals.

If the investor is not using SSO, they can still use the Tax Center to access and download their tax documents, but will need to log into each of their separate portals to do so.

Q. What Tax Documents will be added to the Tax Center?

A. The 1099 and/or K-1 Tax Documents will be added to the Tax Center.

NOTE: The Tax Documents will continue to be added to the 'Documents' section of the Investor's portal as well.

Investors can find and download Tax Documents from both locations.
