Add your new portal's DKIM record (TXT and NAME) to your Domain Registrar's DNS for all transactional emails that are processed from your Portal, such as Investor Portal invitation emails and Distribution notification emails.
What is DKIM?
A DKIM record is a TXT or CNAME record published in the DNS on your domain, under _(selector).domainkey.yourdomain.com, where “yourdomain.com” is your actual domain or subdomain.
When a new email message comes in, the receiving email server looks up the DKIM record for the public key and uses it to verify the authenticity of the message
IMPORTANT: Before you begin the set-up process
In order to verify the DNS records, ensure that you can access the Domain Registrar for your domain (ex. name.com) or wherever you manage your domain.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
STEP 1: Navigate to the 'Global Settings' and click on the 'Emails' tab.
STEP 2: Click on 'Add Custom Domain' and then enter the domain address.
STEP 3: You will be presented with DKIM and Return-Path values for your domain.
Use these values to verify that you own and control the domain which you have just added.
IMPORTANT:
A space is inserted in TXT Value which must be deleted when you add the Value to your Domain Registrar's DNS:
STEP 4: Log into your Domain Registrar to verify the DNS Records (DKIM & Return-Path) for your domain.
You may need to use the detailed instructions provided by your Domain Registrar to learn where to add the DNS records.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are using Google Domains as your Domain Registrar, you may need to add a period ( . ) at the end of the TXT Value and the CNAME Value to verify the custom domain. When verified, the period ( . ) will no longer show.
STEP 5: In InvestNext, go to 'Global Settings' -> 'Emails' -> and click 'Verify' to confirm completion.
After updating the DNS Records (DKIM & Return-Path) for your domain with the values provided at your Domain Registrar, you will verify the DKIM & Return-Path settings in InvestNext.
IMPORTANT: The records can take up to 1 hour or longer to update based on the Domain Registrar's response time.
STEP 6: Add a specific email address by clicking the blue 'Add Email Address' button. A pop-up menu will appear with the fields shown below:
From Email: Email address which the messages will be sent by.
Name: The name that appears in the recipient's email inbox.
Reply-to: What email address should replies be sent to.
Then click 'Add Email Sender'.
STEP 7: Select the ellipsis (three dots) to the right of the Email Address and click 'Make default notifications email'.
