Statements - Builder Overview

Updated this week

The Builder section in Statements allows the sponsor to quickly generate statements for Projects, Accounts, and/or Contacts. If you have already created templates, you will be able to use those templates within this section to ensure your statements have the information that you require. Don't worry, if you have not created any templates yet, InvestNext will use our default statement settings.

In this section, you will be able to create different types of statements for your investors. This article will cover the following three types of statements:

  • Project Statement - these statements will be generated for every position within a particular project(s);

  • Account Statement - statements in this section can be generated at the investing Account level, allowing you to generate statements if you only need them for one, or a few, investing Accounts;

  • Contact Statement - these statements are useful to generate when your clients need to see an overview of all of their investments with your firm. These statements will associate every investing account that a Contact is linked to on InvestNext, giving them a complete financial overview;

Let's get started!!

PROJECT STATEMENTS

Project Statement - after clicking on the Project Statement button, you will be prompted to enter the following information:

  • Select Project(s) - this field allows you to create statements for one project or multiple projects at a time;

  • Custom Template - if you have already customized your own templates, you can select the appropriate template that you want to use in this field. If you have not done so, there is an option to use our Default Statement Template or "+ Create New Template". The latter will direct you to the Templates section where you can customize your very own statement templates;

  • Start Date and End Date - these date(s) will be used by InvestNext in order to generate the correct data for the project statement. We will be using these dates for transactional data, in order to detail the information that you wish to provide to your investors. This is useful for monthly, quarterly, etc, statement;

  • Include Closed Positions - there are options to show those Positions that may no longer be active in that project;

  • Publish to Investor Portal - if you do not select this button, that is perfectly fine and intentional. After "Building Statements" you can go to the Manager section of Statements and click on the batch of statements to view and ensure that the statement was generated as expected. If happy with the outcome, you can Publish in the Manager section of the portal......If you have previously built statements without issue and are confident in the outcome, you can click the Publish to Investor Portal button to make them live on the portal.
