10. New Investment Transactions, Find Contact, and Find Project

Trigger automations when a new investment transaction is recorded in InvestNext. An example using the trigger along with two actions; Find Project and Find CRM Contact

Updated this week

What This Trigger Does

The New Transaction trigger in Zapier starts an automation whenever a new investment transaction is recorded in InvestNext.

Transactions will include those recorded as Receipt of Funds in a Capital Raise or directly within the Position for a Project.

This trigger allows you to automatically send transaction data to other systems such as CRMs, accounting platforms, or reporting tools.

When You Should Use This Trigger

Use this trigger if you want to:

  • Sync transaction activity to a CRM or reporting system

  • Notify your team when new investments are recorded

  • Track contributions or distributions outside of InvestNext

  • Automatically update spreadsheets or financial tools

How the Automation Works

At a high level, the automation works like this:

  1. A new transaction is created in InvestNext

  2. Zapier detects the transaction event

  3. An action runs in another system (for example, updating a spreadsheet or CRM)

Available Transaction Data

When the trigger runs, Zapier can access data related to the transaction, including:

  • Transaction ID

  • Transaction Type

  • Transaction Date

  • Transaction Amount

  • Contact ID

  • Project ID

These fields can be mapped to other applications in your automation.

Example Automations

You might use this trigger to:

  • Add a new row to a spreadsheet when an investment is recorded

  • Notify a Slack channel when a distribution is issued

  • Update a CRM deal with transaction activity

  • Sync financial activity to reporting tools
